Listen

Listen

When the clerk at the drugstore wants to tell you about the puppy she got her father for Christmas to cheer him up as he recovers from cancer….listen

When the grocery store checkout tells you she’s tired because she works three different jobs to pay for school and then tells you about each job….listen

When a friend calls repeatedly because his daughter is in a mental health crisis and now he thinks his own job is in jeopardy …listen

When a friend calls “just to vent” …..listen

When someone calls because they are lonely…listen

When someone calls to brag about a kid… listen

When you’re not sure what to do for someone…listen

For when you listen, really listen, you give a rare and wonderful gift!

About twofelines

What to say? I love my family and friends. I also love kids, cats, and books. Oh, and potato chips and Cheez-its. I am a retired teacher who still loves to be in the classroom, so now I am a substitute teacher.
