Adult Shaken Head Syndrome

Adult Shaken Head Syndrome

Not to make light of shaken head syndrome in infants, when I so often  find myself shaking my head at things I read or hear, I jokingly  say I will  soon have Adult Shaken Head Syndrome.

Here is a sampling of things that make me shake my head:

The fact that supposedly Face Book offers 50 choices for stating your gender.

Speaking of gender: The Boston Globe recently had an article on “How to throw a baby  gender reveal  party.”

Twerking.

Not only is there Upskirting, I found there is also something called Down Blousing

On Face Book a young mother asks, “What are your favorite iPad apps for your toddlers?”

For the school year 2014 -2015 Dartmouth tuition, with room and board, will be $ 61,947.   Tuition alone will be $46, 763.

Last year a woman in Central Park took a picture of a man masturbating. A few days later he raped and beat her.

In the Ukraine , there is coffin therapy for people who fear death. A coffin-maker allows people to rest for 15 minutes in one of his coffins.

In Harvard Square, some businesses have installed tablets to collect more than spare change for the homeless.

My parents would  opine, “What is this world coming to?”   If only they knew!

About twofelines

What to say? I love my family and friends. I also love kids, cats, and books. Oh, and potato chips and Cheez-its. I am a retired teacher who still loves to be in the classroom, so now I am a substitute teacher.

Lord have mercy!!! Don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Maybe a quick gag reflex (the sound of a cat producing a hairball.)

  2. Lisa Gross says:
