Sounds of Words

Sounds of Words

With some words, I just love their sound. It has nothing to do with their meaning. I just love the way they sound.

Here’s a list of favorites:

Rummage

Dilly dally

Scalawag

Stoopnagle

Whippersnapper

Flibbertigibbet

Skeezix

Blithering

Onomatopoeia

Whatchamacallit

Skedaddle

Euonymus bush

Ramshackle

Fuddy-duddy

Collywobbles

Caduderator: can’t find this one in the dictionary, but it was my father’s word for “butt”

And Avery’s favorite: bamboozle

About twofelines

What to say? I love my family and friends. I also love kids, cats, and books. Oh, and potato chips and Cheez-its. I am a retired teacher who still loves to be in the classroom, so now I am a substitute teacher.
