Are you a Midget?
I have six grandchildren, aged 9 to 15. Three of them are significantly taller than I, and the other three promise to be there soon. This was never so obvious as when we stood for a group picture Sunday night.
Actually, it reminded me of another picture. Shortly after a son’s wedding twenty-one years ago, there was an excellent picture of me, the bride, and my three children so I put it in a frame on my desk. One of my second-graders looked at it intently and asked, “Mrs. Judd, are you a midget?”
“Gregory,” I said. “You see me every day. Do YOU think I’m a midget?”
“No,” came the reply, “but you look like one in that picture!”
